FAQs

  • Absolutely! Just select Add to Cart and select the sessions you are interested in.

  • Cabins have been priced at either 4 (6 person limit – with an additional fee for persons 5 and 6) or 6 (8 person limit – with an additional fee for persons 7 and 8) person capacity. If, however, you have fewer than 4 or 6 (respectively) registered in your cabin, we are able to provide day passes for the undersubscribed spaces. You will need to let Camp Couchiching (info@campcouchiching.com) know who will be attending and for which days so that they can be registered appropriately

  • Day Passes include lunch and dinner and all activities. To ensure that we are not over-capacity for activities and that we have plenty of food, Day Passes must be booked at least 1 week in advance on the website.

  • You will need to bring toiletries and sheets/sleeping bag and pillows for your single bed. There are outlets in your room/cabin. You are welcome to bring a cooler (ice/plug-in). Ice is available for purchase in Rama. If you have small children, you will need to bring high chairs, plug covers, Pack ‘n Play (remember Camp Couch is for youth, but not infants, so they do not have these supplies). There is some sporting equipment available, however, if you have a favourite racquet/lifejacket etc, best to bring that. For the climbing wall, you will need closed-toed shoes such as running shoes. Crocs won’t work. We also recommend bringing chairs for sitting outside your cabin or bringing to the beach.

  • Yes, however, there are limited receptacles.

  • They are not, however, fans are available. The cabins are in the trees. You may find it helpful (suggestion from a 2024 attendee) to have a cooler in your cabin with cold drinks .

  • Good news – no you don’t. Children 3 and under are free, however, the base price for the rooms and cabins remain the same (like GP cottage pricing). If you have fewer than 2, 4 or 6 (respectively) paying attendees in a 2-person room or 4 or 6-person cabin, you can get a Day Pass for the undersubscribed spaces.

  • Sadly, no we cannot. It is private property. It is very important that we respect this as we don’t want to jeopardize the relationship between Camp Couchiching and the new owner of the former-GP site.

  • Yes, you can make your requests when you fill out your Family Camp Details Form during registration.

  • The price of the Family Camp includes 3 meals a day and an evening snack. There are set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an extended lunch period with a DIY sandwich/salad station (new this year) and snacks available throughout the day and in the evening. If you would like to bring additional family favourite foods, you are more than welcome. Unfortunately, cabins do NOT have fridges, you are welcome to bring a cooler. There will be coffee/tea available throughout the day at the dining hall and there is a tuck shop on-site.

  • Yes! There is a small tuck shop with nut-free packages treats and frozen snacks. There is also some Camp Couchiching merch. Payment with cash or on-account.

  • Absolutely! Camp Couchiching can accommodate vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. The Tuck Shop has nut-free treats. You will list your dietary preferences when you fill our the Family Camp Details Form during registration.

  • We love dogs but just like at Geneva Park, no dogs (or any pets) are allowed.

  • Absolutely! There is a massive climbing wall, high and low ropes courses, boating, axe throwing, archery, tennis, Gaga ball and so much more! There will be counsellors running some of the activities. However, there will be expectation of parental supervision for water activities (the shoreline curves around the property and the boating activities leave from several different spots so the staff can’t monitor all of it – the bonus is it allows us to take responsibility for the boating activities and enjoy them during the daylight hours). Parents (responsible person over 18) will sign a waiver when they arrive indicating that when on the water, you/your kids are responsible for self-rescue as there won’t be motorboats racing around the lake picking people up .

  • Laundry is not available on site but is available in Orillia if needed.

  • In 2024, members of the Geneva Park community talked about items that could help make Camp Couchiching more amenable to a family camp experience such as more Muskoka Chairs at the beach and grab bars in the showers. Some of us indicated that we would be interested in donating funds to this cause. If you are interested, you can make a donation through Canada Helps. You will get a donation receipt (for contributions over $20) and the funds will be directed to items requested by the Friends of Geneva Park.

  • The former GP was run by the YMCA which had funding available for subsidies. Unfortunately, Camp Couchiching does not have this option available.
