Where will we stay?

Camp Couchiching is intended for youth to attend day and overnight camp. It’s important to note you will not have a kitchen and will be sharing a one-room cabin with your family/friends. Capacity has been based on using only lower bunks so you do not need to hurl yourself on to the top bunk, however, it is a great spot to store your clothes etc. Cubbies are also available. For the cabins, you will only be with the people with whom you registered, there won’t be any mixing and matching. For the 2-person rooms, you may have other people in the same building as you, sharing the bathroom and small common space.

The disadvantage of not having your own kitchen? You don’t get to have a competition determining who can build the highest tower on the dish drying rack. Instead, you can enjoy wonderful meals in the large dining hall with your friends and family. There are a variety of delicious food options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. Coffee and tea are available all day. Last year, the communal meals were a fantastic opportunity to gather together, and the food was both plentiful and delicious!

2 Person Rooms

There are several 2-person rooms that are in buildings with a shared full bathroom +/- small sitting area. Most can fit a Pack ‘n Play for young children

Shared Bathrooms

There are 2 communal shower buildings with 4 sinks, 6 toilets and 7 showers each, and they have solid shower stall doors! No flimsy curtains here (as with GP – please bring your own toiletries)

Cabins

Rustic one-room cabins (remember, this is a youth overnight camp) with 6-8 bunk beds, a sink (with potable water) and separate room with a toilet (no kitchen).
